I have a lot of friends who have taken trips to Los Angeles. Some of them have gone there alone one business trips, while others have gone there with their families for a fun vacation together. When they get back from their trips to Los Angeles, one thing I have always found amusing is how many of them complain about getting a car rental from the Los Angeles airport. All of their stories are slightly different, but the main point of all of them is that it is a pain to get a car rental at LAX.

The reason that I find these stories amusing is because I have been to Los Angeles myself several times, and not once have I encountered a problem getting a rental car from the Los Angeles airport. I don’t have any special connections or anything like that; I simply get my reservation taken care of ahead of time. By reserving a car rental before I arrive in Los Angeles, I don’t have to worry about how many other people are trying to get a rental car at the airport. I always know that when I step off of the plane, my rental car will be there waiting for me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. Although I have never really liked any other sports (with the exception of rugby, which I played in high school and watch on the rare occasions when it is shown on television in the United States), basketball has always been a sport that I enjoy playing and watching. And for as long as I have liked basketball, the team that I have been the most passionate about is the Lakers. Even though their team has changed a lot over the years, I have always respected them immensely because of their never ending drive to be the best in the game.

Last year, I got an opportunity to go out to Los Angeles and attend one of their home games. One of my friends lives in Los Angeles, and because he knows what a Lakers fanatic I am, he gave me a pair of Lakers tickets for my birthday. When I went out to Los Angeles, I also booked a car hire. Even with a car hire, it took a lot of time to get around Los Angeles, but it was all worth it as soon as I stepped into the Staples Center!
