Earlier this month, I decided that I needed a vacation. The reason I decided that I needed a vacation was because I had been putting in a lot of time at work. I booked my trip for three and a half days, and knew that it was going to be a relaxing experience.

Like most trips that are planned at the spur of the moment, my itinerary was basically non-existent. Since the goal of my trip was to feel as free as possible, I decided to go ahead and get a Los Angeles car rental for myself. After everything was booked, I had less than a week to wait until I departed for my time away.

When I got off the plane at the start of my trip, I knew that the only thing I actually had to do was picking up my Los Angeles car rental. I’m really glad that I have family members who live in Los Angeles. In addition, because they are so familiar with the area, my family members are able to expose me to certain things in Los Angeles that I would probably never be able to find on my own. While the tourist focused areas of Los Angeles are still interesting, it’s actually a lot more fun to get off the usual visitor path and explore areas of Los Angeles that are only inhabited by the people who actually live there.

If you have been to Los Angeles before, you are already aware of this fact, but if not, having a vehicle is essential for getting around while you are in Los Angeles. If you won’t be staying with someone who will have a vehicle that you can use, then you definitely need to get a car rental to use during your time in Los Angeles.

In the middle of last month, I took my first trip to the city of Los Angeles. Although I had been to some other destinations in California in the past (including San Francisco), Los Angeles was one city that I had not visited until my most recent trip. While my trip to Los Angeles was technically a business trip, it lasted for five days, and I was only responsible for doing work on two of those days. Therefore, I had a full three days to enjoy myself and explore the city of Los Angeles.

The reason that I was somewhat nervous that my trip might not go smoothly is because I had a lot of friends who told me that it could be quite stressful traveling to Los Angeles. Fortunately, I didn’t encounter any major problems along the way. Not only did my flight go smoothly, but picking up my airport car rental in Los Angeles went just as well (most likely because I had reserved it ahead of time). I will admit that driving my rental car in Los Angeles was a different experience (due to the size of the highways), but it didn’t take me long to adjust to the “LA style” of driving.
