Through our contact form, we receive a lot of questions from travelers about the LAX Airport. Although we are always more than happy to answer any questions that visitors to our website may have, we thought it would be useful to compile a list of the most common questions and publish them for you all to have as a reference:
What kind of rental car options are available at the Los Angeles Airport?
Because it is such a large airport and handles a significant amount of travelers each day, there are currently close to forty different rental car companies that offer their services to travelers who are arriving at the Los Angeles. Although the rental sites for these companies are located off of the actual airport, there are ten companies who can use shuttles to pick up and drop off travelers. The ten companies that have this permission are: Thrifty, National, Fox/Payless, Hertz, Enterprise, Dollar, Budget, Avis, Alamo and Advantage.
Where do I need to go if I’m getting picked up by a rental car company shuttle?
If you make an airport car rental reservation through one of these companies, once you arrive at the LAX airport, you will need to go to the area that is marked “Rental Car Shuttles.” This area is located outside of the baggage claim on the Lower/Arrive level islands, and it can be found by looking for the purple sign.
Can you store baggage at LAX?
Although the Los Angeles airport used to offer electronic lockers that could be used to store baggage, the airport no longer offers this option to travelers passing through the airport.
