In the middle of last month, I took my first trip to the city of Los Angeles. Although I had been to some other destinations in California in the past (including San Francisco), Los Angeles was one city that I had not visited until my most recent trip. While my trip to Los Angeles was technically a business trip, it lasted for five days, and I was only responsible for doing work on two of those days. Therefore, I had a full three days to enjoy myself and explore the city of Los Angeles.
The reason that I was somewhat nervous that my trip might not go smoothly is because I had a lot of friends who told me that it could be quite stressful traveling to Los Angeles. Fortunately, I didn’t encounter any major problems along the way. Not only did my flight go smoothly, but picking up my airport car rental in Los Angeles went just as well (most likely because I had reserved it ahead of time). I will admit that driving my rental car in Los Angeles was a different experience (due to the size of the highways), but it didn’t take me long to adjust to the “LA style” of driving.
