Next week, I am going to be taking a trip to Los Angeles. Although the flight to Los Angeles and back from this city is going to be quite long for me (since I live on the East Coast of the United States), I am actually only going to be in Los Angeles for two and a half days.
If you are wondering why I would fly such a long distance to only stay for a couple of days, the reason is because this trip is not for my personal enjoyment. Instead, I am taking this trip as a part of my job. We are in the middle of discussions with another company about a possible merger between the two of our companies, and as a part of my professional responsibilities, I will be spending my time in Los Angeles going over some specific details with the other company.
You may think that it’s going to be stressful to hold multiple meetings over the course of just two and a half days, but because I made sure to reserve a rental car at the Los Angeles airport for myself, I don’t anticipate encountering any problems.
